Camp Cool - Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need my own ice-skates?
A. The camp registration fee covers all materials and activities, including skate rental. If you have your own skates or safety gear, such as a helmet, we would encourage you to bring them each day. The more comfortable you are, the more you will enjoy the activities.
Q. What do I need to bring?
A. The camp registration fee includes snacks but you may wish to pack a snack from home, as well. Please carry your items in a bag or backpack, clearly marked with your name.
A. We recommend you are dressed in layers because the activities will be both inside and outside throughout the week. The arena is 58’F inside, so you should have a warm but comfortable outfit such as a warm-up suit; a jacket; and gloves or mittens. Q. How much ice-time will I have?
A. The Camp Cool schedule will include a variety of on-ice activities each day separated by fun activities and snack and restroom breaks. The on-ice time will include structured and free skating programs. Q. Where should I go when I arrive and how will my parent or guardian pick me up? A. We will begin and end each day at Camp Cool HQ, located on the west side of the ice, inside the Arena. Look for the Camp Cool Welcome Sign, as well as the Sign-In/Sign-Out forms. We ask that your parent or guardian sign you in and out each day of the camp. Q. What if my parent or guardian needs to have someone else pick me up for some reason?
A. Your parent or guardian will need to indicate on your registration form any other persons authorized to drop you off and pick you up.
